Hallo I’m Kimolos Island

I’m a less known Cyclades island with several daily ferry connection with Pollonia, Milos Island.

I’m a good destination to head for if you want to escape the crowds, relax and enjoy ny peaceful scenery and my lovely beaches.

Psathi Village and Port

All ferries arriving at Kimolos dock at the small charming port of Psathi on the southeast coast. A couple of tavernas, cafes, popular beach lined with some odd trees and fishermen’s houses. A short walk up the hill from the port towards the capital Chora, within 6-8min good places to stay like The Windmill or Toffee House

The Psathi port and Chora the capital are linked by an easily negotiable slightly uphill road for about 1500 meters. Transport available, local bus or taxi.

Chora (Hora)

Chora (Islands Capital) itself is a rather pretty unspoiled, island village with a dominating “cathedral” with the usual large blue dome. There is a fairly new Archaeological Museum which is worth a visit. Boutique Shopping, bars/cafes and Tavernas,

However, the attraction is the old fortress Kastro a younger version of the better-known example on Antiparos. Kastro is a strong rectangular fortification wall lined with apartments that face into a central courtyard area, each with its own external staircase.
