Sifnos - Milos - Santorini

 Island Hopping

Island Hopping in Greece is almost certainly the best and simplest way to explore the Cyclades islands. My suggested Island Hopping itinerary departs from Athens with a finish at Santorini.

It might be one of my favourite ones, but you can create your own and discover the Cyclades Islands at your own pace.

The Piraeus to Sifnos  ferry route connects Athens with the Cyclades Islands and is currently operated by 3 ferry companies. Aegean Speed Lines, Zante Ferries and SeaJets.

Ferry services are available over 15 times a week during high season.

Length of journey varies between 4 - 8 hours depending on the type of ferry and other islands stops,

 Sifnos Island

The cheerful port of Kamares welcomes you to Sifnos.

This Island has a calm dreamlike beauty, picturesque bays, windmills and beaches with crystal clear waters. Not to be missed is the former capital of the island, Kastro.

Vathy village and the equally small village of Heronisos is ideal for the romance seekers.

Sifnos is famous for its gastronomy.

 Milos Island

The unique beauty of Milos.

Beaches created by volcanic activity, the famous ones are Sarakiniko, Papafragas, Tsigrado and Firiplaka. Boat and sailing trips.

Just strolling is such a memorable experience, the narrow street of Plaka or along the quayside of Adamas, along the beachfront of Pollonia. Don’t miss Klima village.

Santorini is connected to Milos with daily ferry service during the summer season.

The journey can last from 2 hours and 30 minutes to almost 6 hours, which depends on the ferry operator.

4 ferry companies currently offer this service, Anek Lines, Zante Ferries, SeaJets and the Golden Star Ferries, with a combined 15/16 sailings available per week during high season.

 Santorini

It’s no secret that Santorini is one of the most famous Islands of Greece (the world even). Multicoloured cliffs, white Cycladic houses lining the cliff tops 300 meters above the dark blue sea and the caldera.

When the sun sets, the orange and red spectra in the cliffs add to the spectacular settings of Oia and their villages.
